Your Culinary Mission:

As our Chef Manager, you'll be at the heart of culinary innovation and operational leadership, serving as a proud representative of the Guckenheimer brand. You’ll ensure excellence in quality, safety, and presentation, making each meal an unforgettable experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence:

  • Lead your culinary team, ensuring efficiency, creativity, and adherence to health, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Guarantee daily compliance with workplace safety, food safety, HACCP, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Consistently achieve strong internal audit scores by proactively maintaining cleanliness and organization in your kitchen.

Culinary Leadership:

  • Oversee purchasing, menu planning, and execution of innovative, high-quality, cost-effective food services.
  • Continuously develop your team through hiring, training, scheduling, and mentorship, promoting a culture of excellence and professional growth.

Customer Engagement & Brand Representation:

  • Represent ISS Guckenheimer professionally, engaging positively with clients and customers, embracing feedback to enhance service quality.
  • Utilize merchandising and marketing strategies effectively to present dishes that delight and inspire.

Financial Accountability:

  • Manage and monitor financial and accounting operations within your budget, ensuring accurate reporting and efficient resource use.

Who You Are:

  • A culinary professional with at least 3 years of experience in high-volume food service operations.
  • Ideally holding a Culinary Arts degree and experienced in food preparation and presentation in line with HACCP standards.
  • Skilled in effective communication and comfortable interacting with diverse groups including customers, clients, and team members.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Work up to 8 hours a day on your feet, excluding breaks
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
  • Come to work properly dressed according to the dress code
  • Employee must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods
