Role Description:
This role is focused on the preparation of tissue samples for microscopic examination, contributing to both clinical diagnosis and research. Responsibilities include the application of specialized staining methods, including enzymatic and immunohistochemical techniques, to highlight specific tissue components.
Additional duties involve organizing and processing specimens, maintaining laboratory tools and instruments, and ensuring overall lab cleanliness and functionality. The role also encompasses equipment troubleshooting, ongoing quality monitoring, and routine maintenance of histological instruments.
The individual may be called upon to guide and support histology technicians in their tasks, offering both supervision and technical advice when required. In times of critical events or emergencies, this role participates in facility-specific incident command responsibilities as outlined by emergency protocols.
