Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care services to clients, including assistance with bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for side effects or changes in condition.
  • Assist clients with mobility and physical therapy exercises as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary, ensuring dietary needs are met.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment in the client's home, including light housekeeping duties.
  • Document and report changes in the client's condition to supervisors and family members.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in meaningful conversation and activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certified home health aide training preferred.
  • Previous experience in home health care or a related field is advantageous.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
  • Ability to follow care plans and provide support to diverse populations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and their families.
  • Compassionate, patient, and understanding nature all times when dealing with clients.
  • Reliable transportation to travel between client locations as necessary.
