This is an onsite position in Chicago, IL.

Schedule: Part-Time | Monday – Wednesday (flexibility on hours/days)

Location: fully onsite in Downtown Chicago, IL

Duration: Long-term temporary, with the potential to become permanent

Compensation: $23 - $25/hour, depending on experience

Our client, a Chicago-based legal firm specializing in student loan relief and bankruptcy law, seeks a part-time Legal Clerk to assist their team!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process and organize a high volume of legal filings related to student loan relief and bankruptcy.
• Work on multiple cases simultaneously, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in document preparation.
• Assist in compiling and submitting necessary legal documents to courts and financial institutions.
• Maintain records, track deadlines, and assist attorneys with case-related clerical work.

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

• Prior experience in student loan forgiveness or bankruptcy law required. Experience working with CPAs is also preferred.
• Current law students or individuals pursuing a legal career are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Must be highly organized and able to manage high-volume filing work efficiently.
• Comfortable handling multiple cases at once in a deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency in legal software, document management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
