We source and supply Stocklot, Prime, and Scrap Paper, as well as various plastic grades, supporting the circular economy and sustainability initiatives.

To strengthen our USA operations, we are seeking an Operations Manager – USA to oversee supply chain, logistics, inventory management, and compliance while ensuring operational efficiency and cost optimization.

Job Overview

The Operations Manager – USA will be responsible for managing logistics, warehouse operations, inventory, vendor coordination, and compliance for the company’s supply chain and trading activities. This role will ensure that shipments, warehousing, and order fulfillment are conducted efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with regulatory and safety standards.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in supply chain operations, logistics, and vendor management within a trading, manufacturing, or recycling industry.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supply Chain & Logistics Management

- Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including shipping, warehousing, transportation, and customs clearance.

- Work closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics partners to optimize shipping routes and minimize costs.

- Ensure smooth coordination of domestic and international shipments.

- Identify and resolve supply chain bottlenecks and delays while maintaining customer satisfaction.

2. Warehouse & Inventory Management

- Oversee warehouse operations, inventory control, and stock allocation to ensure smooth order processing.

- Implement inventory tracking systems to minimize losses and improve stock accuracy.

- Ensure FIFO (First-In-First-Out) inventory management principles are followed.

- Optimize warehouse storage and distribution strategies for efficiency and cost reduction.

3. Vendor & Supplier Coordination

- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, transporters, mills, converters, and warehouses.

- Negotiate cost-effective contracts with logistics providers while ensuring quality service.

- Monitor supplier performance and compliance with Vectus's quality and delivery standards.

4. Order Fulfillment & Customer Service 

- Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment for customers across the USA.

- Work closely with the sales team to align operational capabilities with business needs.

- Resolve customer complaints and shipment issues, ensuring high service levels.

- Monitor and analyze order processing metrics to improve efficiency.

5. Regulatory & Compliance Management

- Ensure compliance with USA import/export regulations, trade policies, and safety standards.

- Manage customs documentation, licenses, and certifications required for international trade.

- Oversee OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) compliance for warehouse and operational safety.

- Maintain accurate operational records and ensure audits are conducted as required.

6. Cost Control & Budgeting

- Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring cost efficiency in logistics, warehousing, and procurement. 

- Identify opportunities for cost reduction in transportation, inventory storage, and order processing.

- Implement KPIs and performance tracking systems to monitor operational efficiency.

7. Process Optimization & Technology Integration

- Implement automated tracking systems, ERP solutions, and inventory management software to streamline operations.

- Continuously analyze operational processes and suggest improvements for efficiency and productivity.

- Develop SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to ensure uniformity in business processes.

8. Team Leadership & Training

- Lead and manage warehouse and logistics personnel. 

- Conduct training programs for operational staff on safety, compliance, and efficiency best practices.

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications & Experience Required

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

- 7+ years of experience in operations management, logistics, or supply chain, preferably in trading, manufacturing, or recycling industries.

- Strong knowledge of USA import/export regulations, customs documentation, and logistics management.

- Experience in inventory management, warehousing, and procurement.

- Proficiency in supply chain software, ERP systems, and inventory tracking tools.

- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent leadership and communication abilities.

- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
