Job Description

Pride Health is hiring a contacted LGSW/LICSW for our level 1 trauma center in Minneapolis, MN! Local candidates are preferred as this client anticipates full time conversion for their contracted workers. LICSW, LISW, and LGSW licensed candidates are welcome to apply.

Shift: M-F 8am-430pm

Pay: $47-$50 hourly

Contract: 8 weeks (opportunities for extensions/full time conversion)

Duties:

• Identify patients who require social work assessment and intervention through high risk screening and referrals.
• Interview clients and performs bio psychosocial assessment to determine problems and appropriate types and methods of service/treatment.
• May provide supportive counseling and crisis intervention using social work methods under the supervision of LICSW (if applicable)
• Care management, advocacy, and assistance to patients.
• Will be required to work in multiple units in the hospital such as ED, Adult Medicine and Surgery, Pediatrics, and OB.

Requirements:

• Masters degree in social work
• Ability to counsel and instruct patients and families
• Ability to communicate with patients/ families
• Proficient in Outlook and Microsoft Office
• Cultural competence with a variety of socio-economic, racial, and other elements of society.
• LGSW, LISW, and LICSW licensure will be considered.
• Inpatient hospital social work experience is required.
