Warehouse Operations Manager - Itasca, IL

$85,000 to $100,000/Annually

The Warehouse Operations Manager is a critical role will be a key piece in many aspects of the business. You will direct and manage the overall inventory, warehousing, distribution, shipping and receiving functions and work on process improvements. This truly is a role that requires an individual who is eager to learn many different areas and has a desire to grow within the organization. This role requires someone to be a self-starter and good manager.

Job Description

• Develop practices, procedures, goals and objectives for department and the strategies and methodologies to implement and/or achieve them.
• Oversee all incoming and outgoing activity and ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of shipments.
• Plan, coordinate and manage entire warehouse/shipping & receiving functions in such a manner as to ensure that all company objectives and production goals are continually met.
• Review overall operation and processes and identify areas for improvement for all functions. Be able to offer recommendations to the leaderships team for improvement and be able to successfully implement changes.
• Monitor and review all reporting and resolve any discrepancies in inventory reporting or similar issues.
• Maintain proper operational adherence to company’s SOP’s attendance policies and safety program
• Forecast and perform material management to maintain supply and inventory levels
• Produce regular reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
• Ensures production and quality requirements are met according to customer standards
• Maintain and ensure high standards of safety throughout operations
• Motivating, organizing and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met
• Train and manage 6-8 employees and monitor their performance and progress

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of warehouse and management experience
• Bachelor degree required
• Bilingual – Spanish and English is a plus
• Strong knowledge of warehousing key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Computer literacy in word, excel and ERP
• Forecasting, planning and scheduling skills
• Verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to lead, manage and motivate staff
